Tooly – self-service tool rental in Espoo
Tooly Oy rents tools and cleaning equipment from a smart locker at Iso Omena in Espoo. You book online, open the locker with a PIN code, do the job and return it to the same locker. Open every day from 6-24, from 4,49 €, and there is never a deposit.

Tooly in facts
So, what exactly is Tooly?
One smart locker at Iso Omena holds the tools. Drills and a rotary hammer for the wall, saws for the floor and the old kitchen, a line laser for the tiles, a compressor, tool kits and bit sets, a textile cleaner for carpets and sofas, and a window-cleaning robot for the panes you cannot reach.
There is no counter and nobody to hand you anything. No deposit, no membership, no minimum rental, no delivery. You collect the item yourself and you return it yourself, at whatever hour suits the job.
Most tools spend their lives in a cupboard.
You buy a drill for a single afternoon, then store it, charge it and move it from flat to flat for years afterwards. Renting it for that afternoon costs 4,49 €.
That is the whole idea. Own less, do more. We want the hard part of a job to be the job, not the shopping trip in front of it.
How renting works
Pick what you need from the catalogue and book it online.
You get a PIN code. Use it at the locker at Iso Omena and collect the tool.
Do the job. Cordless tools come with two batteries, so keep the spare in the charger and swap when the first one runs down.
Put everything back in the same locker and shut the door. That is the return.
One locker today, a network next
Tooly starts with one locker at Iso Omena, and that is deliberate. Every tool in it is checked by hand between rentals, a missing bit is replaced the same week. Getting that right once is what makes the second locker, and the tenth, worth using.
The goal is a rental infrastructure across the capital region: a locker close enough that borrowing a tool is easier than owning one. This is the first of them.
What it costs
Power tool rentals start at 4,49 €; accessories from 1,99 €, and the longer you rent the less each hour costs. You pay in full when you book, VAT included, and that is the whole bill. The available durations vary by product — not every item offers the 3-hour or the 7-day slot. Every item’s own price ladder is on its product page.

How we look after the tools
Checked every week
Every tool started new. We inspect the fleet weekly, and blades are replaced when they are worn rather than on a fixed schedule. Cordless tools carry two batteries and a charger, so there is always one charging while you work.

Is there a deposit?
No. Every item is 0 €, always. You pay for the rental and nothing else.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes, from My rentals on the site. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before your rental starts. Inside 24 hours the booking is non-refundable.
What if a tool breaks while I am using it?
Contact us. Return it for a full refund, or we will deliver a working replacement and take the broken one off your hands.

Late returns are charged. The rates and conditions are in our terms and conditions, and we will usually send you a reminder before it comes to that.
